A late surge

My word count is now 14,240. But since many of you NaNoWriMo'ers are non-internetting at the cottage, I don't want to post any more excerpts just yet. I might share one privately with Jill, because Jill has stuck by my side through all this. She didn't dash away to anyone's cottage by a lovely lake to share tears, jeers and beers.

    Wow, wow wow! This is so amazing. NaNoWriMo, I have decided, is better than Christmas, better than anything. There are so many hilarious and exciting things happening at all times, that a gal can't even go to sleep without missing it. Will check my e-mail to see if I have received any excerpts while I slept.

    Aaaahhhhh! You must have sent it to the wrong e-mail address because I didn't receive it. Did you send it to jesmonde@georgianc.on.ca? I have been checking, and there is nothing there!
